Cardinal Gibbons Retires Bob's Uniform
In another show of support to memory and spirit of Bob, Cardinal Gibbons retired the #42 he wore as a player for the Crusaders.  The ceremony took place prior to Gibbons' 55-50 victory over Archbishop Spalding on December 2nd.  Click here for video highlights of the ceremony as well as a video tribute.

Bob Flynn Memorial Pride of Maryland Coach of the Year
The Pride of Maryland, which consists of the nine Division III schools within the state, has honored Bob by naming its annual coaching award the Bob Flynn Memorial Pride of Maryland Coach of the Year.  The award, presented by PrestoSports, is voted on by members of the media from across the state.  Hood College coach Tom Dickman, a long-time friend of Bob's, received the inaugural award after guiding his team to the NCAA Tournament in just its fourth year of existence.

Bob Flynn Memorial Basketball Day Camp
Bob's summer camps became legendary in the Catonsville area.  Just before his sudden passing he had entered into an agreement to run camps at Leadership Through Athletics in nearby Lansdowne.  As a tribute to Bob, the organizers have decided to continue with the camp with a portion of the proceeds going to the Bob Flynn Trust Fund.  For more information, click here.
